In May 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other central authorities jointly issued the Action Plan for Cultivating Outstanding Textile and Apparel Brands (2026–2028). Centered on six key approaches—differentiated brand cultivation, intelligent manufacturing driven by technological innovation, green and low-carbon development, Chinese-style trendy design, and global market expansion—the document prioritizes differentiated layout across segmented sectors. It aims to drive the branding, internationalization and high-quality growth of the textile and apparel industry, outlining a clear medium-to-long-term upgrading roadmap and sustainable development direction for the hosiery sub-sector.
Guided by this national industrial policy, the 21st Shanghai International Hosiery Purchasing Expo 2027 (referred to as CHPE 2027), a benchmark vertical professional exhibition with over 20 years of experience in the hosiery industry, will take place at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from March 22 to 24, 2027. Since its inauguration in 2006, the fair has successfully hosted 20 editions, standing as a highly influential vertical hosiery industry event. It serves as the premier platform for domestic and overseas hosiery enterprises to launch new products, secure bulk orders, exchange technologies and pursue cross-industry cooperation.
Aligned with diversified consumption upgrading and industrial transformation demands, the 2027 edition will comprehensively upgrade exhibits and supporting services, with an expected total exhibition area of 25,000 square meters. Nearly 500 leading manufacturers from core domestic hosiery industrial clusters including Zhuji, Yiwu, Haining, Liaoyuan, Dongyang and Xiaobeihe will gather alongside premium overseas hosiery firms and upstream & downstream supporting suppliers. Exhibits cover the full industrial chain: socks, tights, pantyhose, raw and auxiliary materials, intelligent equipment and more, enabling one-stop sourcing from raw materials and machinery to finished branded products.
A full lineup of industry exchange events will run concurrently to build a comprehensive communication ecosystem, including China Hosiery Fashion Trend Show, China Chic Hosiery Design Competition, Innovative Technology Forum on Functional Knitting Materials, and New Accessories Growth Forum. These sessions deliver in-depth insights into industry trends, technological breakthroughs and market opportunities. To cater to diverse consumption scenarios, CHPE 2027 will co-locate with three parallel expos: the 9th Shanghai International Hat, Scarf & Glove Expo, 2027 Shanghai International Home Apparel & Products Expo, and the 3rd Shanghai International Fashion Jewelry Expo. This integrated event model deepens industrial synergy, streamlines combined sourcing of hosiery, fashion accessories and home goods, and unlocks new opportunities for cross-industry collaboration, brand co-branding and integrated retail.
To amplify the fair’s reach, the organizer has built an all-channel targeted traffic generation system. Online promotions span Douyin, Xiaohongshu, WeChat Channels, plus overseas platforms including Google, LinkedIn and Instagram for targeted advertising. Offline outreach targets national hosiery industrial clusters, apparel wholesale markets and cross-border industrial parks to invite professional buyers. Dual-track engagement—live-streamed venue tours online and face-to-face business matching offline—maximizes exhibitor exposure and conversion of targeted orders.
